January 25, 2015

**UPDATE – COMPETITION NOW CLOSED: Winners announced here.**

As part of our ongoing efforts to raise the publicity of the pool project, we’d like to invite local photographers to submit photos that capture ‘The Spirit of Tynemouth’, with the winning images to be used in our 2016 calendar. What’s more, we’ll also reproduce the winning images in a special set of postcards that will be used to celebrate and support the redevelopment of Tynemouth Outdoor Pool.

Your brief…

Your brief is to shoot either people or places in the Tynemouth region, and we’ll be looking for the most interesting and original images that really capture the spirit of this unique place.

Winners will receive full credit on both the calendar and cards, which will be sold via the online shop and tourist information offices as part of the pool’s ongoing fundraising programme. The images will also be featured on the Friends of Tynemouth Pool website and on other publicity and marketing materials.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for local photographers to showcase their work, but remember – you need to submit your images by 30th April 2015.
