THE CHOSEN ONES

Our charity, Friends of Tynemouth Outdoor Pool, was recently voted into the “Chosen by you, Given by us” scheme at ASDA Benton – and we were the lucky ones chosen to receive a donation from The Asda Foundation!

At the beginning of the year, we took a coveted spot on the Community board at the front of the shop along with 2 other local charities and good causes.

Customers were then given a green token at the checkout that they could use to vote for the organisation they felt should receive a donation.

We have it on good authority that the customers at Benton were extremely enthusiastic about voting for the pool – and we’ll soon be receiving the winning cheque for £200.
