Pre-registration pledges sail past a quarter of a million quid!

If you’re one of the hundreds of people who’ve pre-registered for our upcoming Community Share Offer, you’d probably like a bit of an update, right?

Last week, we sailed past the QUARTER OF A MILLION QUID mark. That’s right, the total number of pre-registration pledges so far is now over £250,000, and we got there in just two weeks (and a bit). To put that into perspective, the average amount raised by a community share offer in the UK is somewhere between £200k and £250k according to http://communityshares.org.uk, and we’ve already smashed that total before our offer has even launched.

This. Is. Huge.

It not only demonstrates the phenomenal level of support this project has, but it also brings us all an enormous step closer to getting it off the ground.

However, there’s still a long way to go, and we still need your help.

We’re aiming for a target of a minimum of £500,000 when we launch our Community Share Offer for real in Spring 2017. Why? Because this will give us the best possible chance of securing the grant we need from the Coastal Communities Fund (amongst others) to be able to complete Phase One.

If we get that grant and hit our Community Shares target, there’s a very good chance we’ll get our pool.

So, it’s vitally important for us all to help spread the word to anyone else we think would like to dive in and play their part in getting this inspirational project off the ground.
